Lacey Timoti, LSW, ASOP
Therapist

I am an individual therapist with experiences working in a variety of social work contexts including child welfare and community mental health. I graduated from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a master's degree in social work and concentration in clinical mental health. I am currently working toward my clinical licensure hours.
I enjoy empowering people to learn about and manage their mental health, explore and learn from their weaknesses, and discover and expand their strengths. I believe it is valuable to view life's many challenges as opportunities to help people navigate their healthy and unhealthy coping and defense mechanisms. I aim to take a client-centered approach with each session, utilizing evidence-based techniques to support people in meeting their goals.
I have experience working with people through grief and loss, anxiety, depression and mood disorders, trauma responses, attachment/relationship struggles, and emotional dysregulation. Additionally, I find value in working with people from various struggles, backgrounds, ages, genders, sexualities, and cultures, recognizing the importance of continually learning from one another and acknowledging biases to better support the uniqueness of each individual.
