Haarini Balakrishnan, MCMH
Multilingual Therapist
English, Tamil, Bahasa Malaysia, & Telugu

I am a compassionate and culturally-attuned counselor dedicated to supporting individuals through healing, growth, and meaningful life changes. I graduated with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Henderson State University and have experience working with diverse populations across various emotional and behavioral needs.
I approach my work through a client-centered and trauma-informed lens, ensuring that each person feels safe, respected, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process. I integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, mindfulness-based strategies, and person-centered approaches, to tailor treatment to each client’s unique goals.
My clinical interests include stress, anxiety, depression, bipolar/mania, grief, trauma, anger management, relationship challenges, childhood experiences, and major life transitions. As a multilingual therapist fluent in Tamil, Bahasa Malaysia, and Telugu, I am committed to making mental health care accessible and comfortable for clients who feel most understood in their native language.
Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy playing pickleball and staying active, so I bring the discipline and teamwork I developed as a former collegiate athlete into my therapeutic approach.
