Lacey Timoti, LSW

Therapist

Lacey is an individual therapist with experience working in various social work contexts, including child welfare and community mental health. She graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a master’s degree in social work and is currently working toward her clinical licensure hours. 


Lacey is skilled at empowering people to learn about and manage their mental health, explore and learn from their weaknesses, and discover and expand their strengths. She looks at life’s many challenges as opportunities to help people navigate their coping and defense mechanisms. She takes a client-centered approach, utilizing evidence-based techniques to support people in meeting their goals. 


Lacey has experience working with people through grief and loss, anxiety, depression and mood disorders, trauma responses, attachment/relationship struggles, and emotional dysregulation. She values working with people from various struggles, backgrounds, ages, genders, and cultures, recognizing the importance of continually learning from one another and acknowledging biases to better support the uniqueness of each individual.
